Scrip Program

Dear Parents/Families:

I would like to share some information with you about our Scrip Program that earns money for our school while you (parents & families) do your shopping. Scrip (substitute money) is actually gift certificates from national and local retailers- the same kind of gift certificate that you would purchase at the store. You purchase these gift certificates from the school and then use these gift cards to pay for items instead of paying cash, by check or credit card. You may use these cards to make purchases on-line instead of using your credit/debit card. They also make great gifts. You need not spend any money that you normally would not spend. We are only requesting that you get in the habit of making purchases using Scrip. This fund raiser costs you nothing-when you purchase $100 in gift certificates, you receive $100 in gift certificates! Our profit comes from the retailers. The money is used to defray the ever-rising costs of running our school.

This program has been in place at our school for eleven years and has been a success thanks to you, our families.

A variety of gift certificates are available at the school on a daily basis. Another, even more varied selection of certificates is available by order on a weekly basis. Order forms are available on this website and are sent home with your child/ren each week. You are always welcome to stop in at the office to make purchases.

We do require that every family participate in this program by purchasing $3500 worth of Scrip each school year. This translates to at least $350 profit per family, per year generated for the school. You have from July 1st- June 30 each school year to purchase the mandatory scrip amount. There is a penalty fee of $350 for families that do not participate in this program. This figure represents the least amount of revenue the school would realize with a family’s full participation. The Scrip Program has proven to be the easiest way to earn money for our school without placing an added financial burden on our parents as all of us need to shop in some manner.

If you have any questions or special requests, please do not hesitate to contact me. My name is Kathy Trainor. You may phone me at 973-827-3777. You may also contact me via E-Mail.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Sincerely,
